The case-control study involving 34 elderly participants demonstrated a strong association between genetic history and gout development (P value = 0.004). Participants with a family history of gout had 10.7 times higher odds of developing the condition compared to those without such history (OR = 10.714). Data analysis using Chi-Square test confirmed this significant relationship. The study emphasizes health promotion in the community related to gout awareness and prevention, particularly for those with hereditary predisposition to hyperuricemia.
